Hi try the following to solve the problem

Solution 1: Testet and working

- Allow access to the websites on Proxy / Firewall / Dansguardian
 - ncsi.glbdns.microsoft.com and
 - www.msftncsi.com on HTTP port 80

These sites are contacted to prove a working internet connection.

Solution 2: Not verfied

Disable Connection Check over GPO. Read more under

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc732049(WS.10).aspx

There is a simple solution to do.
If you do this step by step.
You never will be prompted by network yellow warnings.
Pay attention!

1. Open Kaspersky Internet Security 2010.
2. Go Settings.
3. Select Firewall label
4. Click over Configuration/Settings
5. Now select Networks right next to Filtering Rules.
6. Find out your network adapter, it might be connected if you've got only one, and choose "modify"
7. You can assign custom name and important, in Category change to Trusted Network.
You have advanced options too.

This is the easy and fast method. But there is another if the first fails.

1. Now in Firewall Settings, click on Filtering Rules.
2. Look and find down "Add" over Address
3. This step is very important, you need to add a new network service. Give it a name, and add "Local Address", these addresses must be your default gateway, first and second DNS provided by your ISP you can find it through internet, once added. ACCEPT

This last step can be difficult but is easier than it looks. Your default gateway appears on your local area connection status over details. I Hope you succeed.

Hear hear... glad to see I'm not the only person who thinks Adobe (and other third-party software vendors) are the cause of many problems attributed to Microsoft.

As for this issue, in my case, I am on a closed network, so yeah, no Internet access... I simply want to turn off the warning as it is useless to me and I don't like seeing it. And yes, I know I can simply hide it from the notification area... call me anal... I want to turn it off.

The other non-solution fix is to uninstall the program the caused the problem in the first place... in my case: Dreamweaver CS3, Acrobat 7, and Suitcase Fusion 2 (font manager)... this really sucks but it works until there is a real permanent fix.

Well this carp WIn7 is acting up with some programs disabling the Network Adapter... but the easier "temporary" fix is not to UNINSTALL the Network Adapter but to just "DISABLE", it and then RE-ENABLE it... this bring the internet back... at least until re-boot.

I am behind an ISA proxy server, and I think that is why Windows 7 thinks there is no internet.

Wow Jason... you're so far off base there with your thinking. Microsoft does not control the anti-virus makers. "Disk doctor" doesn't exist and even if it did, it wouldn't be touching the nic settings. Meanwhile, CS3 is made by Adobe, which is one of the worst software producers in the world...
