same problem tried with many pc. Not due to hardware, it’s a windows bug. tried many solutions about authentication (ntlmv2, ntlm, lm, text, etc), tried to change from 128 bit to 56, tried to use different servers and embedded devices. No way. Hope Microsoft will release a fix to make windows work (not as usually release a new windows version breaking compatibility with standards just to sell windows buggy servers)

no that is still bug with early driver.

I have same problem, my pc is asus p5k se and always freeze when I copy large file to network.

I found and FIX!
download latest version on atheros http://partner.atheros.com/Download.aspx?id=118

I hope, I can help.

Tried you link, but it tells me
“Does not support this OS WNT_6.1_64.MCE”

Good to know that its a known problem, and not just bad hardware on my part. Vista driver seems to work well, though I’m patiently waiting for an official fix from either Atheros or Microsoft.
