win7 - error msg: baner reads "microsoft visual c++ runtime library". msg reads: this application requested runtime to terminate it in an unususal way.

I have to press ok 20 times, then windows works fine.

There is a problem with win7 64bit and 4 gigs of dual channel ram (4x 1gig stick). If you remove one stick it seems to work MUCH faster. Ironically installing 2x2gig sticks has the same exact results. The majority of the people experiencing this issue have VERY sufficient power (850w in my case) and tested/new equipment.

I cant turn on the network discovery on my windows 7 RC1. I try changing the settings, click on "save changes" button and the main windows disappears. When I check the settings again, the network discovery is set on "off" as it was before. I tried turning off my anti-virus, my firewall, but no results. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

My Win7 RC1 can't connect to Windows 2000 shares and vice-versa.

Win7 does connect without issue to my Ubuntu 6.06 Samba Server, but not vice-versa.

Any clues?
